Haven Hall
Haven Hall
Haven Hall, previously the Overstrand Hotel, was an extensive renovation and restoration project transforming the antiquated hotel into a luxury retreat. Alterations included adding single-storey rear and front extensions, changes to fenestration including new roof lights on the east, north and south elevations, two dormer windows and a balcony on the south elevation, as well as new canopies on the east and west elevations - and replacement windows.
Westfield, Shanklin
Westfield, comprising 16 luxury, new build flats situated in Shanklin, is on the former site of the disused Craven Court Hotel. The existing hotel was demolished and Westfield sympathetically replaced it, using the existing stone to remain in keeping with surrounding properties and local authority conservation requirements.
We worked closely with the clients, contractors, building control, and services to overcome construction restraints and complete the high-end flats to the brief and within constraints.

Plumpton College
Plumpton College
Plumpton College is situated on the outskirts of Brighton and offers courses in agriculture, horticulture, and animals and is famous for its vineyards. The College sought to update its Wine Research Centre which was dated with tired facilities. From the initial concept design, we secured the commission and worked in collaboration with MHD Architects Brighton, to take the project through to construction. The new design and remodeling helped the College to gain national and international recognition. The rolling wave-like sedum “Green” roof reflects the rolling hills of the nearby Sussex Downs and breaks up the mass of the double-height winery building behind. Air source heat pumps supply the underfloor heating and hot water system.
Sean took time understanding what we wanted and preparing detailed drawings for review and editing or agreement pre-submission to planners. Close liaison with builders throughout the project and pertinent comments at the pre-tender/tender stage re reasonableness of tenders.
